Open Workshops for Spouses

SAILING THE WINDS OF CHANGE
It may not take much to realise that stress is our steady companion when relocating. More important is to get in touch with the different forms and factors contributing to this emotional state of being. As spouses have the responsibility of making a home, nurturing the family needs, running a household and to be a good partner, this can become a heavy toll when abroad. How can you help your family find the balance in these new surroundings? Where can you discuss the uncertainties that present themselves? Our informal roundtable discussion gives you the opportunity to share some of your concerns but also allows others to learn from your insights.

CORNERSTONES
The objectives of our spouses workshops are:

  • to understand the factors which enhance feelings of uncertainty.
  • to identify potential problems and their implications.
  • to allow participants to share experiences and open up a dialogue.
  • to offer structured backing for the spouses on a personal level and as a homemaker.
PROGRAM DELIVERY
  • The facilitation is under guideance of a family therapist.
  • To allow a feeling of intimacy the group is limited to 10 persons plus a CONSULTus facilitator.
  • Prior registration is required.
  • A workshop format allows participants to focus on the issues and gives structure to the discussion.
